inbord for video editors

An online space for your clients: footage upload and cut approval

With inbord, you open a space for each of your clients. Your client uploads their footage and assets, watches every version of the edit, asks for changes and approves the final cut. They get in through a link, without creating an account.

Free, no credit card. Your client has no account to create.

Fictional example of an inbord client space for video editors.

    The usual problems

    Footage arrives in several batches

Expired links, incomplete folders, files sent later: you start editing without knowing whether you have everything.

    Feedback is scattered

Change requests come by email, voice message or during a call. You have to gather them before getting back to the edit.

Revisions go beyond what was planned

With no record of what was approved, points already settled come back in later versions.

    How it works with inbord

Your client gets a link. Everything else happens in their space.

    1. 1

      Your client uploads the footage

You list what you need: footage, guidelines, logos, music, subtitles. Your client drops it all into their space, up to 50 GB per file.

    2. 2

      Instructions are written down

Format, length, variations, number of feedback rounds: the brief sets the frame before editing starts.

    3. 3

Feedback is tied to a specific version

Every version is uploaded to the space. Your client approves it, or asks for changes on that exact file, timecodes included.

    4. 4

Your client approves the final cut

Your client approves the final cut in one click. The project moves to “Delivered”, and the balance can follow by card if you've turned it on.

The questions to ask in your brief

What a good brief should ask, for video editors. With inbord, your client answers in their space, and you reuse the questionnaire on every project.

    • Where is all the footage, and will there be more?
    • Which output formats: 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, and what lengths?
    • Do you need subtitles, and in which languages?
    • Do you have brand guidelines (fonts, colors, animated logo)?
    • Is the music provided, or does it need choosing, and under what license?
    • How many feedback rounds are included in the price?

    Your questions

Can my client really send me 40 GB of footage?

Yes. Each file can be up to 50 GB, and uploads go in chunks: if the connection drops, it picks up where it left off instead of starting over.

How do I know which version was approved?

Approval applies to a specific file and stays visible in the space, dated.

I subcontract for an agency. Does it work for that too?

Yes: the space is in the name of whoever hires you, agency or end client. And if you work as a team, the Pro plan lets you invite members to your projects.
