inbord for web designers
An online space for your clients: content, logins and mockup approval
With inbord, you open a space for each of your clients. Your client uploads their copy, logo and logins, approves the mockups and follows the progress of their website. They get in through a link, without creating an account, and inbord follows up if something is missing.
Free, no credit card. Your client has no account to create.

Brief
The site's pages
Home, Practice areas, Team, Fees, Blog, Contact.
What isn't working
The site is hard to read on mobile, and we get no inquiries.
Files
Messages
The hosting logins are in the vault.
Got them, I'll start building on Monday.

The usual problems
Content arrives late
Copy, photos, vector logo: until your client sends them, the website can't move forward.
Logins are sent by email
Hosting, domain and CMS credentials travel in plain text and stay in inboxes.
Mockup approval is unclear
Agreement is given by email, sometimes contradicted later. It's hard to know which version was approved.
How it works with inbord
Your client gets a link. Everything else happens in their space.
- 1
Your client provides content and files
Copy, vector logo, photos, pages wanted, reference sites: your client fills in the brief and uploads their files before kickoff.
- 2
Logins in a vault
Hosting, domain, CMS: your client stores their credentials encrypted, never in an email. A code for every view.
- 3
Your client approves the mockups
You upload the mockup, your client approves or comments on it in the same place. The approved version is the one you build.
- 4
inbord follows up with your client
Space not opened, files not uploaded: inbord follows up politely, in your name. And optionally, the deposit and balance are paid by card.
The questions to ask in your brief
What a good brief should ask, for web designers. With inbord, your client answers in their space, and you reuse the questionnaire on every project.
- What's the site's main goal: quote requests, sales, credibility?
- Which pages do you want, and which are the priority?
- Who's writing the copy, and by when?
- Do you have your logo in vector format (SVG, AI, EPS)?
- Which websites do you like, and why?
- Who holds the logins for the current domain and hosting?
Your questions
Is it safe to receive passwords through inbord?
That's what it's built for. Credentials go into an encrypted vault, and every view requires a code. It's safer than email, which stays readable in both inboxes.
Can my client upload their copy directly?
Yes, as a file or as an answer to a brief question. You choose the fields: long text, file upload, date, multiple choice.
Can my client approve a mockup from their phone?
Yes. They open their link without an account, see the mockup as a preview, and choose “Approve” or “Request changes” with a note, on desktop or mobile.
